Goal 

To be able to successfully perform BLS to either a child, an infant, pregnant woman, or an adult

Objectives

At the end of the session the participant should be able to:

  • Recognise the unresponsive victim
  • Identify & remove themselves & the victim from danger
  • Ascertain response from victim
  • Send for help
  • Clear & open airway
  • Check for breathing
  • Provide CPR
  • Use automatic external defibrillator
  • Care for the recovering victim
  • Record all actions
